1) EL revision paper T3R3
Things to note:
1)The pupils will be taking a Math Performance task this week. They have been informed since Monday to revise the following topics, Angles, Time, Perpendicular and Parallel Lines and Area and Perimeter. There is no weighting for this test.
2) Today, the pupils were given 3 quizzes on Math (Fractions and Decimals).
Commonly made errors:
(I) Did not read questions properly especially questions that requested them to round off their answers to nearest tenths, hundredths or etc. Thus the pupils detived the correct answers based on algorithm but they did not round off their answers.
(II) Some pupils are not able to convert "words" to decimals accurately. For example, 12 tenths= 1.2
(III) Some pupils are having problems understanding word problems involving fractions. As explained to them, they must decide if the question is purely a normal "measurement" question or "fraction of a set" question.
